After absorbing an intense amount of heat in a battle with Godzilla over the Baby Godzilla, Rodan was mutated into Fire Rodan, a much larger and more powerful form with the new Uranium heat ray. Fire Rodan was able to dispatch the Garuda craft but was no match for MechaGodzilla. When he was dying, Fire Rodan transformed itself into White Rodan and revitalized the dead Godzilla, whose secondary brain had been shattered, with a blizzard of radioactive energy.
